Caitlyn knew how much Kelsie loved lighthouses. To make things not suspicious at all, Caitlyn booked a reservation in downtown Portland to celebrate her Birthday with Kelsie. I mean how cute and special to celebrate a romantic moment on your birthday. The best gift.

First - What is a double Proposal?

I decided to propose back to my partner, not knowing that I was taking part in a growing wedding trend within the LGBTQ+ community called double proposing. The idea is fairly self-explanatory: Two people propose to each other, either on the same day or at different times.

From clouds to rain, to a killer sunset with a beautiful rainbow. I have to say, I tear up a lot because this only happens in movies.

Details: As a photographer, I love working with beautiful humans with a love story to tell. I love getting to know who they are as a person, and why a certain location is special to them. Caitlyn mentions Kelsie’s love for lighthouses and the ocean. When I meet Kelsie I noticed a tattoo of a lighthouse. Instantly, I knew to capture the emotion of the day, I would snap a photo. My method of photography is more of a documentary type of vibe!

Then we saw a sailboat pass by, we all waved, then while Caitlyn and Kelsie were looking out waving, I snapped the moments. Looking back, I can’t help but tear up because not only did we capture the stills, but you can feel the energy of the moment. Pure love and joy.
